I AM

Just wanted to share an excerpt from Louie Giglio's book, I am not but I know I AM. I read this yesterday and it brought me a lot of peace.

"And in the days to come, when you're questioning, needing, searching, wondering, asking, and struggling you will find His sufficiency at the end of every desperate prayer. When you cry out all the things that you are not, you'll know His answer is, "I AM." For every cry there is one answer:
I need hope. I AM.
Who could possibly be smart enough to figure this out? I AM.
What lasts? I AM.
I need a bigger story. I AM.
Nobody's listening to me. I AM.
Nothings real anymore. I AM.
I'm pouring into others, who's pouring into me? I AM.
I'm not sure why I'm here. I AM.
Somebody just hold me. I AM. "

Thanks to all of you who have spent time in prayer for me these last days. Just to give you an update, I have decided to move from my current hut and into a room at one of the teacher's homes near the school. It is for now a temporary solution, but seems a really great option. I'll be close to the school and the clinic which should be great workwise and influence wise. I will be about 2 miles from my old village, so I can still visit and be involved there. Please pray for this adjustment and also that my "old" village would not feel abandoned or hurt that I have moved. Specifically for my relationship with Cholwe, that it would continue to be strong and grow even with the distance. I love and miss you all!

Hey cait, did you get our package yet? Hopefully it finds you intact. It will be a bummer missing you at Christmas, but we can probably figure something out- like setting up a site where we can upload video greetings or something. Miss you bunches, only 2 weeks of school left. Haven't put lights on the house yet, but we are having a Christmas party here on 9 December.

Love and safety,

Ry

Catiebug,I love you so! Just caught up on all your postings, you must write a book, you have such great insight and a great ability to laugh at yourself and your situations! We decorated the tree the night before Dev left,It was so hard, but I hung up every one of your decorations and today I will hang up the simpich angels, the stair garland and stockings.I will hang up yours and wish that you were here but you will have the stocking we sent you to open on Christmas morning, and the gifts too. We will all think of you and miss you but are so incredibly proud of the way you have sacrificed to follow God's calling. Bren takes her LSATS this weekend,so pray for her sucsess. Delaney is gigglig and rolling over now. Hunter has just learned about the meaning of endangered species, and can tell you why sea turtles are endangered.Tim has had some conversations with top level Geico people and it seems virtually certain that they will move him here by summer of 2008.So,maybe we will all be back together by then.I took some pictures of our gianormous tree(SURPRISE) and other decorations so I'll use my newly acquired technical genius to send them to you so it will be like you're here! well... Looking forward to hearing you on sunday, along with Bono....Love and HUGS! mom

Caitie Grace, it was so great to hear your voice in church today! I couldn't help wondering what shoes you were wearing! I think of you often and remember your fun birthday party this past year. I pray for you daily and love seeing this blog so that I know specifically how to pray and what's going on in your life. Although I have to admit that the snake stuff really creeps me out! I can't wait til you're home and we can compare shoe deals again! Take care, Merry Christmas, and I love you!

Thanks everyone for your notes! Here are my conjoined responses:

Meg-The book is good, another awesome one that Christy sent me is called "The Barbarian Way" by Erwin McManus, pick them up both, they are quick and great reads!

Ry-No package yet, the mail has been pretty slow lately...but I will look forward to it. You should definetly get in touch with me somehow on Christmas. Don't feel bad if you don't get Christmas lights up, you can always pretend like you are in Zambia with no electricity. I do it all the time.

Mama-Good to talk with you the other day, glad you feel free to call me at 2am. Time difference smime difference, right? I wish I were going to be home for Christmas, trust me it will be so weird and sad to be away. Thanks for the updates on everyone. That is so AWESOME about Jen & Dwight. God is so good.

Lisa-FYI, I will need major shoe assistance when I return, especially since a lot of my cute shoes were sold in the pre-africa auction!!! I was not wearing shoes when I was doing the interview, just to ease your curiosity! Glad you read the blog, I have fun writing it! Don't worry about the snakes, if I collect enough we can make some pretty sweet snakeskin shoes! : )
